Springer Nature Read & Publish Agreement
The 2026 open access period became active as of 1 January 2026.
The national open access article quota for 2026 has been set at 3,094 articles. APC (Article Processing Charge) support will be provided for eligible articles until the quota is exhausted.
Summary:
Within the scope of the Springer Nature Read & Publish Agreement carried out under TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM – EKUAL, researchers of our university may publish open access without paying APCs in Q1 and Q2 group Springer Nature hybrid journals indexed in Web of Science (SCI, SSCI, AHCI).

Quota Information: National (country-level) limited quota | 2026 quota: 3,094 articles | Once the quota is exhausted, the APC must be paid by the author or the funding body

Important Notes:
The corresponding author of the article must be affiliated with an EKUAL member institution.
The article acceptance date is taken as the basis, and applications are evaluated on a first-come, first-served basis.
For articles deemed eligible within the scope of the national quota, approval is obtained from TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM.
A corporate (institutional) email address must be used, and the institution name must be clearly stated in the publication.
